Professor Imran Syed is a Consultant Interventional Radiology (IR), with a career spanning over two and a half decades of clinical excellence, academic contribution, and educational leadership.
He serves as the Clinical Lead for Radiology, the Clinical and the Learning Lead for Interventional Radiology at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), UK.
Internationally recognised for his expertise, Professor Syed is a contributing author to Chapman’s Textbook of Radiology, one of the world’s most respected radiology reference texts.
He has led cutting-edge work in arterial and venous interventions, with special focus on:
• Arterial embolisation
• Angioplasty and vascular revascularisation
• Oncological interventions
• Venous access and obstruction
• Urological radiology
He is the founder of the Radiology Resident Forum (RRF), one of the largest global educational platform for radiology residents and students.
Prof. Syed is also an educator and mentor, having trained and guided hundreds of radiologists across Europe & Asia. His lectures, protocols, and frameworks have helped shape the current standards in image-guided therapies, and he continues to be at the forefront of IR innovation in both the NHS and academic arenas.
